She had life insurance when she was working a while back but they cancelled it without her knowing for missing some payments. She had no idea o this until she called to check on her policy after receiving her diagnosis. She currently receives social security and disability but of course that will stop when she passes. I have no clue what to do or what my options are. It would probably be near impossible to get some sort of term life insurance now, right? Is there some kind of organization I could look into? I’m an only child.

My mom has term life insurance for 10 years for New York Life.. is it true that in 10 years, she’ll be able to renew it another 10 years? Won’t that be more expensive? Also, what happens if you buy that 20 year term insurance and you don’t pass away until 21, 22 or even 30 or more years? What happens to all your money, and isn’t there a way to renew it? I heard that it would cost thousands and thousands more to renew it after 20 years.. Also, what about universal life insurance? I hear it’s no good, but my mom wants to buy that too.. Can anyone please explain a bit?

I’m trying to buy life insurance for myself and my mother. I read up on this survivorship insurance which sounded pretty good since I wanted something for my mother if I were do die first and vice versa. but most of the online quotes I saw were between spouses…

But I got confused when I read about accidental death ins- does this mean I will not be covered if I die of an illness or old age- but instead must die of an accident such as auto or slip and fall??
secondly, would I get taxed on the interest earned on the universal/whole ins or when the policy is paid out/ surrendered?

I have purchased a term life policy. My universal life policy is raising each year therefore eating up my cash value unless I pay higher rates. The term life policy rate is frozen for 10 years and is worth more than the univesal policy. I want to cash out the univerasl policy and cancel the policy.

Someone I work with is interested in buying a term life insurance policy but is afraid she won’t get coverage because she has had some situational depression and has had a ******* attempt as a minor.

Do life insurance companies dig up health information of as far back as your health records go (minors?)?
